We Are Hiring: Production Engineer Manager 1 Position

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all production engineering functions, with a focus on process optimization, equipment performance, and technical enhancements to achieve operational excellence.
Plan and execute to meet production targets, ensure product quality, and optimize cost efficiency.
Conduct technical assessments and implement robust preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and sustain high equipment reliability.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives—including Lean, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies—to drive productivity gains and cost reduction.
Collaborate proactively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Develop, review, and enforce SOPs and WIs to standardize engineering and production practices.
Ensure strict compliance with all related ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, etc), and relevant sustainability standards.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, covering occupational health and safety, fire safety, essential services, and environmental impact.
Oversee and monitor engineering budgets, ensuring cost control and optimal allocation of resources.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to build team capabilities, motivate staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Manage and maintain adequate staffing levels, ensuring the development of a well-trained and highly effective production team.
Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of findings and full regulatory compliance.
Drive the adoption of best practices, operational standards, and process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business objectives.

Requirements

Possess at least Degree/major in Industrial Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent field.
Minimum 8 years of working experience within the manufacturing environment (Experience in working in Natural Rubber will be specially considered.
Minimum 3 years in a leadership / people management function
Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
Strong troubleshooting skills, good leadership skills, interpersonal skills and analytical approach to problem solving
Proactive, results-oriented, high level of integrity, decisive and possess good follow-through
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload while delivering high accuracy/quality works
Ability to communicate at all levels of management and good presentation skills
Ability to work with relevant stakeholders in projects undertaken Company
Good teamwork approach with positive attitude, independent and fast learner
